Samsung is targeting that both Galaxy S8 and S8+ plus could sell as many as 53 million this year. The company also expects that the S8 could cover it losses following the Note 7 recall last year, and it could outsell its predecessor Galaxy S7, S7 edge, and S7 edge plus of which sold fewer than 50 million in 2016.
The Galaxy S8 and S8 plus sales will begin much earlier compare to the S7 last year. The Galaxy S8 flagships, which will have a global launch on April 28, while it is available in the US a week earlier on April 21. Some major US carriers such as T-Mobile and Verizon has opened its stores for taking pre-orders on April 19.
