AT&T Galaxy S8 & S8 plus Receiving Daydream Support and Network performance enhancement Updates

AT&T has started rolling out an update that brings some new features and several enhancements for the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The update primary ships the Daydream Support, whilst some additional tweaks on some Apps and enhancements to the device performance.

Similar to Sprint Galaxy S8 and s8+ update last week, AT&T Galaxy S8 will bump-up to version G950USQU1AQGL, and the Galaxy S8 plus will also move to version G955USQU1AQGL. Both device receives an update weighing at approximately  more or less 500MB in file size this week.
What's changing:

  • Network performance enhancements,

  • WPS (Wireless Priority Service)

  • UX updates,

  • Navigation bar auto hide

  • AGIF, Email, Calendar and Knox updates

  • Bluetooth updates

  • Stability updates

  • Advanced Messaging update

  • App select update

  • Smart help updates

  • Daydream support

  • various other updates and improvements, and

  • Android device security updates



The new navigation bar button will hide the bar, thus letting you take advantage of the entire height of your device’s Infinity Display. It’s a simple dot, which you can tap to hide the navigation bar entirely. You can swipe up to access the on-screen keys again.

Make sure to check the OTA updates, AT&T usually rolls out its update in waves. But if you haven’t seen an update today, you should be seeing it in the next few days.

Samsung launches Galaxy S8 and S8+

Samsung is targeting that both  Galaxy S8 and S8+ plus could sell as many as 53 million this year. The company also expects that the S8 could cover it losses following the Note 7 recall last year, and it could outsell its predecessor Galaxy S7, S7 edge, and S7 edge plus of which sold fewer than 50 million in 2016. The Galaxy S8 and S8 plus sales will begin much earlier compare to the S7 last year. The Galaxy S8 flagships, which will have a global launch on April 28, while it is available in the US a week earlier on April 21.
