Verizon Galaxy S8/S8+KRACK WiFi Security Vulnerability Fix Updates

Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ has gotten a new updates. This time around the update offers the "KRACK WiFi" security vulnerability patch. Its an update that prevents many WiFi connected devices such as computers, smartphones, tablets, etc. from a certain security breach.

In addition to that the update also includes the monthly Android security updates of which now covers the month of October 2017.  The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8 will bump to version G950USQS1AQJA, while the Galaxy S8+ will also move to version G955USQS1AQJA.

Here are the details for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8  update version G950USQU1AQJA.

  • Android security patch level: October 1, 2017

These updates will come across via Firmware Over-The-Air, and throughout Big red's software update assistant.   To check the update manually, just simply go to your device  Settings > About phone > System updates.

Samsung launches Galaxy S8 and S8+

Samsung is targeting that both  Galaxy S8 and S8+ plus could sell as many as 53 million this year. The company also expects that the S8 could cover it losses following the Note 7 recall last year, and it could outsell its predecessor Galaxy S7, S7 edge, and S7 edge plus of which sold fewer than 50 million in 2016.
