Sprint Galaxy S8/S8+ Receiving December Security Updates

Few days earlier, T-Mobile seeded out the December security updates for their own Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, this time around Sprint is also updating its versions of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.  This very similar update, its small, and does not brings any changes, but do include the December security patch.

As of this time being, Sprint is 2nd US carrier that have pushed the said December Security updates, while lets await to see if AT&T, Verizon, including the US factory unlocked variants might follow this coming couple of days.

Enhancements for the new update:


·  Device stability improvements, bug fixes.
· New and / or enhanced features.
· Further improvements to performance.

If you own a regular Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8, you’ll get software version G950USQS2BQL1, while Galaxy S8+ owners will see an update version G955USQS2BQL1. The updates weigh in at 130MB and 127MB, in file size.

To check for updates, head into  your device Settings > Software updates.

Samsung launches Galaxy S8 and S8+

Samsung is targeting that both  Galaxy S8 and S8+ plus could sell as many as 53 million this year. The company also expects that the S8 could cover it losses following the Note 7 recall last year, and it could outsell its predecessor Galaxy S7, S7 edge, and S7 edge plus of which sold fewer than 50 million in 2016.
