Sprint Galaxy S8 and S8+ Receiving January/February Google Security Patch updates

Sprint Galaxy S8 and s8 plus has also started receiving the January and February Google Security Patch updates. This is similar update took place on T-Mobile Galaxy S8 and S8 plus few days earlier. This update is not the the Android Oreo upgrade yet, but still remain in Android Nougat OS.

Anyways, this is only an incremental update, but this is the last Android Nougat update that will hit on Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. The Galaxy S8 will bump up its baseband version to G950USQS2BRB1, and the Galaxy S8+ baseband version to G955USQS2BRB1.


I know that some of you might not happy for this update considering that  Samsung already begun rolling out the Android Oreo update for the Exynos Galaxy S8/S8+ overseas.  Don't be alarmed, as you will get the Android Oreo update in the next 2 weeks time. Samsung already confirmed it, and as long as the Android Oreo beta releases is already on its way to be finalized in just a couple of days. Just wait for it until mid-March, soon you'll get your sweetest Oreo goodies.

Samsung launches Galaxy S8 and S8+

Samsung is targeting that both  Galaxy S8 and S8+ plus could sell as many as 53 million this year. The company also expects that the S8 could cover it losses following the Note 7 recall last year, and it could outsell its predecessor Galaxy S7, S7 edge, and S7 edge plus of which sold fewer than 50 million in 2016.
